Well, we’re now in August, as weird as that may be. I was just getting used to June. That aside, this end of Summer phase means several things:

1) I (Gryphon) am leaving for London soon. I will be gone for 4 months.
2) Chris will be finalizing/uploading his short story soon (Walking Small).
3) Elon and I are changing our name from Scientism to Aguirre. Soon, we will be sending a short (2o minute) “demo” around in an attempt to get “signed”. If you want to hear our stuff, go to our myspace.

Oh and hey, everybody, listen to Kettel. This guy is seriously good.

Walking Small – Preview

I am currently working on a short first-person fiction narrative called Walking Small. Check the summaryâ€”

Being a cripple isn’t easy. Being a closet cripple is even harder. Ever since I was born, my feet never grew a single shoe size. My whole life was spent in an awkward solitude. Obsessed with athletics, but never being able to participate in them, I became a man of a unique tradeâ€” painting glorified pictures of popular sports celebrities. With a high rent and many low paying jobs, I swiftly became desperate and negative about life altogether. This story is about one fateful day when my perspective on everything changed so dramatically that Chapter Two became pointless to write.

This will be the first of many short stories to make their way into HomCon this summer. Stay tuned!
